More Playstation games coming to PC

Returnal is on the way in the new year. I do love a good time loop game, and it was pretty well received over on PlayStation!

Are they finally porting the spider to PC? It remains to wait for the release of half-life 3)
They already have:

Not one of the BIG Playstation exclusives, but I enjoyed some of the earlier Ratchet & Clank games. Nice to see the latest come to PC.

I should probably stop necroing all my old threads, but I can't help myself sometimes!

Another Sony exclusive heading to PC and it's one of the two that I've been waiting for most of all*!

I played a fair bit of the original Horizon game, but put it to one side as it was a bit too similar to the other games I was playing at the time and I planned to wait until we got to this point. Once I next have enough free space to install HZD, I'll be looking to play the two games back to back once Forbidden West launches next year!

*Ghost of Tsushima is the other one!

Tsushima is one of my favourite games ever. It's also one of the few games where I've completed everything including getting the Platinum trophy.

I rave on about God of War to my friend and when I told him that I liked Tsushima better he was dumbfounded. Should've seen his face!:ROFLMAO:

I've always been fascinated by feudal Japan, so bought Sekiro on release, even though I'm not a fan of Souls-like games. Found Sekiro too difficult to get into, but everything I've read suggests that Tsushima is much more accessible than Sekiro. Definitely want to give it a try for myself!

You'll definitely enjoy it.
I'm surprised the PC version hasn't been released yet as the game came out over 3 years ago whereas it shall be 2 years for Horizon.

Helldivers 2 has been an incredibly successful Playstation port to PC so far, but a new patch for the Steam version of the game requires PC players to have a PSN account in order to even access the game. The reaction has not been great:

It is a multiplayer game and the patch is apparently to allow Sony to ban abusive players more easily, so single player Playstation games shouldn't be affected on PC. It's not a good look though!

Yeah, seen this hitting the web.

Apparently PSN is so easily and often hacked, that's why people are so against it, plus it's overbearing by Sony really and opens up a can of worms for future releases. I wouldn't be surprised if it does go ahead if the EU banned it anyway.

It also forces certain regions completely out of the game as Sony don't allow connectivity in places like the Baltics and Africa and even some European states are blocked.

Apparently the developers, Arrowhead, are massively against it also, this is all down to Sony.

Every Christmas for a few years now, PSN has been taken down by hackers across part of Christmas Eve, Day and Boxing Day. It's ridiculous how often the hacks happen. I would hope that customer data remains secure throughout these hacks, but who even knows. Having bought most of the Sony PC releases, I've seen there's extra items, etc for people with PSN accounts linked to Steam, but I've never felt tempted to sign up for one.

I saw that Arrowhead are encouraging the review boming and refunds and while it's a surprising move, I get it entirely!

Some great dude on the Steam forums collated all the data breaches, it's not pretty at all

Apparently Arrowhead host the game on Sony's servers, I do wonder if they'll attempt to move them elsewhere after this.

The comments in the thread point out additional breaches not in the collated list - it really is crazy just how often the breaches are. And those are just the breaches, there's also been many successful DDOS attacks and similar on PSN.

Yeah, 100%, Sony definitely don't have a good reputation for this at all, I used to have my PSN account linked to Steam and stopped it as soon as I found out just how bad it actually is.

I see Louis Rossman is weighing in on the discussion, I love this guy and mostly agree with his viewpoints, he's very hot on customer rights and knows an awful lot about the ins and outs from a legal perspective
